Problems of philosophy
Communication intensive subjects in the humanities, arts, and social sciences should require at least 20 pages of writing divided among 3-5 assignments. Of these 3-5 assignments, at least one should be revised and resubmitted. Communication Intensive subjects should further offer students substantial opportunity for oral expression, through presentations, student-led discussion, or class participation. In order to guarantee sufficient attention to student writing and substantial opportunity for oral expression, the maximum number of students per section in a HASS Communication Intensive subject is 18, except in the case of a subject taught without sections (where the faculty member in charge is the only instructor). In that case, enrollments can rise to 25, if a writing fellow is attached to the subject.

	Я не мыслитель, Холмогоров тоже. Ольшанский и Крылов - вот когда их будут изучать в университетах, тогда поговорим ;) А из современных американцев - это Серл, Деннет, Дэвидсон, Крипке, Куайн, Патнем и т.д. и т.п. ;) (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	кстати, как вам западные (квази)научные тексты? Мне иногда кажется, что американцы излишне любят самоповторы, ссылки на себя и комментарии к структуре текста. В русских подобных текстах так не принято. да? (Reply to this)(Thread)

	Те, которые я читал, в основном довольно любопытные ;) Возможно, вы правы - в том, что касается философских текстов, например, мы больше ориентрованы на немцев. Но если вы возьмете логические тексты отечественные, то там тоже будет похожая структура... (Reply to this)(Parent)
